The Magic of Thinking Big - How To Think Big

When it comes down to important jobs, people are not solely judged on education or background, but on how they think. If you think big, the your accomplishments will be big. Keep this in mind and see how thinking big will bring you great success.
Start to sue big words - I don't mean long words or difficult to understand words, but words that are big, cheerful, optimistic words. Don't say problem, say challenge; swap investments for expense; not task but opportunity.

Whenever possible, under promise but over deliver on value. The more you can raise the value of something, the more appreciative the recipient will be. For example, if your manager wants a report from you on this year's sales for a presentation, not only give him this year's sales, but how about a comparison against last year's. Include graphs to visualise the differences. Add a brief couple of lines of mitigating reasons for the differences, and you will soon become someone to be relied upon.

Which brings us nicely to the next point - see the bigger view of your job. You may feel you are in a mundane position, but other people rely on you. Make your job seem as important as you feel theirs is, and soon you will be recognised as someone ready for promotion. By adding value to others, and giving that extra in your own role, you will stand out from the crowd.
